MAP-States
MAP-States is a conditional structured-trace method. Its semantic tags can make selected orientations, uncertainty, conflict, shifts, and carried-forward state inspectable during a declared task, subject to method validity and alternative explanations.

Claim ceiling
The trace may support reconstruction, comparison, continuity, or hypothesis generation where the collection and validation design is competent. It does not by itself establish a genuine internal state, introspection, developmental continuity, architecture independence, causality, truthfulness, or improved governance.
HEART does not universally require MAP-States. Use ordinary logs, external records, technical tests, human notes, or another sufficient method when they better fit the claim. See MAP-States method page and For Researchers.
